On May 14th (at almost 21 weeks) I felt “Thumper” (my new name for baby boy Smith) for the first time. Everyone kept telling me it would feel like butterflies in my stomach. I don’t know what other people’s babies were doing to make a butterfly sensation but this kid literally “thumps” me. repeatedly. I felt him while I was watching the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy. I think he was probably freaking out cause he didn’t know if Izzie was going to die or not.
I will feel him throughout the day since I’m basically sitting at my desk all day long. He gets super thumpy at night too when I go home and I’m watching tv. Maybe he really likes tv or is also getting super bored with Gossip Girl and wants me to change the station. Don’t worry baby, the season is over, it’s SYTYCD time!
David hasn’t felt him yet. I’m sure he could but he insists on moving his hand around to 50 different spots instead of keep it in one spot and waiting for the next one. I think he’ll just have to wait until baby gets stronger and he can feel them easier.
Because a post is better with pictures, I included a recent one of me and Baby Daddy. (this was 2 days after Thumper's first kick)
