We're growing together...

We're out of the 1st trimester and on to the 2nd!!
baby's getting bigger...i'm getting bigger...
it's the weirdest thing.
my work pants are defintely on strike now...the bella band is helping me hang in there a little longer, but it's super annoying.
All I can say is thank goodness the style of jeans is low rise...they just might hang in there for quite a while...bless you jean gods.

blueberry is now a lemon, here's a little visual for everyone :)

Blueberry (7 weeks) was 1/2 inch in length



Lemon (14 weeks) will be 3.5 inches in length by the end of this week

Well, here it is, the beginning of my baby bump!

I heard it!

I had my 12 week appointment today!
I know, a little early, but who's counting? (besides me)
David and I got to HEAR the heartbeat this time, it was amazing! As the Dr. moved the magic wand over my pelvic bone through the enormous amount of ultrasound gel he kept saying "that's yours", "that's yours"...and then there it was....Baby Smith's!
David caught on first. My heartbeat sounded like a slow helicopter and the baby's sounded like a fast one. I think I could have listened to it for hours...I really wanted to steal his little hand held device he used and take it home with me.

*Not sure if you can tell, maybe if you click on the picture and make it bigger, but the little horn looking thing that looks like it's coming out of the babies head is actually it's little fingers.

My favorite part of this week? I'm back to normal!
For the last month I've been "nausea girl"...so not fun
Thank you to David, the most amazing husband in the world! He's been cooking, cleaning, running errands, giving foot massages, the works! I love you babe!

3 Weeks to Go!

I can't wait to be over the first trimester!
I've at least been feeling sick less and less, as in I'm not nauseous for so many hours out of the day.
Doesn't seem that great but I'll take it.

A few big dates coming up!
St. Patty's Day, March 17th I have my next appt and get to HEAR the heartbeat this time!
Then another appt. April 20th...and on April 30th we find out if we're having a boy or a girl!!
Can't wait!

have I mentioned yet that I hate waiting?
having the dates written down in my calendar is hard...I just want to start x'ing days off...it's like waiting for Christmas

So I'm 10 weeks as of last friday....blueberry is not so blueberry anymore.
baby has graduated from an embryo to a fetus and by the end of this week will be 2 inches!
My favorite part...baby's fingernails are starting to grow! (shout out to Juno - great movie!!)
