I seriously thought I would have a baby before this date hit. My "due date" as they call it. But, here I am...still making trips to Babies R Us and the mall parking in "expectant" mother parking.
I really didn't want to have to coax the baby out. I mean, who doesn't want the perfect pregnancy and then labor and delivery? And I did as far as some are concerned have a pretty perfect pregnancy. I had all the fun aches pains sure, but I wasn't very sick at the beginning and I'm not ending it with high blood pressure and swelling so I can't complain. Baby just isn't ready to come...I think I must have made just too good of a home inside my body...I think I can be happy about that :)
Within the last month of having weekly pelvic exams I am 80% effaced, 1cm dialated, and baby is head down (zero station) in go position. My body and baby are doing what we're supposed to "so far" just might need a little more help. So, this Monday we're scheduled to be induced. And although I thought it would happen differently, I'm ok with it.
I can't wait to meet my baby boy. I can't wait to be a mom.

Full Term!!
September is here! I'm 37 weeks! and I've been on maternity leave for a week now...and loving it! If I had one goal this entire pregnancy it was to make it full term...and we did it! Way to stay in there baby boy!! But now, I'm sorry, but I'm ready for you to come out. I'm hot and uncomfortable and your dad and I are DYING to meet you!!
These last 9 months have been crazy. It's insane to think I've been pregnant all of 2009. But September is finally here and we're in the home stretch and I'm very excited!! So far, my first week of maternity leave has been very, very busy and I still don't have my hospital bag packed yet. My to-do list gets shorter only for me to think of new things and then it gets longer again.
It's pretty crazy to think that I will be a mom in a matter of weeks, maybe even days who knows?? It's going to be weird not having him moving around inside me anymore. I'm trying to really enjoy these last days being pregnant and cherish every moment...Especially the time with David. We've been together for almost 10 years, married almost 6...all we know is each other and that is about to change VERY soon. It's completely exciting and terrifying at the same time. I can't wait to see him as a dad!!
